Burger Wars

3 03 2010

Here is an infographic [via Gizmodo] that shows the territories each of the 8 largest fast food chains have staked out in the U.S.

McDonald’s (Black) is obviously the dominant force (why the designer chose to lay the map on a black background is beyond me). It’s fairly mixed along the middle of the eastern seaboard, but Texas is definitely over-run with Sonics and the Southwest has a strong Jack In The Box showing.

Personally, I’m a Wendy’s guy. I grew up eating it in high school and got addicted to their Spicy Chicken sandwiches. By the way, the Wendy’s in Fort Dodge, IA is the best Wendy’s in the country. Get a #6, with a 5 pc chicken tender and cheese sauce, and you will never want to eat at any other Wendy’s ever again.
